Beer Pong Rules, How to play

Beer Pong Rules

At Best Beer Pong we are firm believers of house rules. If you don't have house rules or are new to the game see below for how to play:

Golden Rule: Domination:
First and foremost, if you get shutout in a game of beer pong your team must do a naked run, no exceptions. You got shutout, can you really complain?

Bouncing:
Yes, we play with bouncing, you have to pay attention during our game. If you hit a bounce the other team must take two cups away. If a ball is shot, hits the rim of a cup, or anything else that causes it to bounce on the table before going in, that counts as a bounce and two cups must be removed. Bouncing off a wall or ceiling, although pretty cool, does not count as a bounce. When the opposing team tries to bounce on you, you can swat the bounce away. Be sure to yell really loud while swatting.

Re-racks:
A team may re-rack twice whenever they want as long as it is not mid turn. The rack can be set up however they like. Note that if a team brings the balls back because they each hit a shot, that is considered mid turn.

Rebuttals:
If each member of a team hits a shot or a bounce they get the balls back and can shoot again, this is still considered the same turn, so no re-rack will be allowed. If the team hits the last cup in a fashion that would bring the balls back to them, i.e there are two cups left and each team member hits a cup, then there is no rebuttal as the team would have the balls back.

Overtime:
If a game goes to over time each team will set up three cups. The team that finished their cups first in regulation will have first shot, unless the team that brought it to over time ended in a fashion that brought the balls back to them.

Leaning:
Come on, who leans!

Knocking Over Cups:
If the other team takes a shot and it knocks your cup to the ground it's gone. You can catch it and if you keep the contents in the cup during the catch and the ball does not stay the cup is still in play. If you knock over any of your own cups they are gone, so be careful when defending the bounce.

Defense:
Swatting bounces is allowed. Blowing balls out of cups or using your finger to get the ball out of a cup is not allowed whether you are a guy or a girl. Distracting noises or dance moves are fully encouraged.

Game ending shots:
If you are holding a cup and it is not empty the other team can shoot the ball in that cup and the game is over, no rebuttals.
